Leave Lakrit's bread to Yvonne
- 130g butter
- 130g sugar
- 300g More
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/3 bottle of black food coloring
- 5g LASSE LAKRITS powder (licorice root extract)
Melt the butter and stir in the sugar. Then add the remaining ingredients and knead everything together. Roll out on a greased baking sheet to approximately 30×30 cm. Flour the dough and the rolling pin well. Bake at 175°C (convection oven) for 10 minutes.
Cut into diamond shapes while still warm. Mix the glaze with black paint and a pinch of licorice powder, and then enjoy.
Let licorice as topping and spice
LASSE LAKRITS pure powder can be sprinkled through a fine sieve onto a variety of foods to give them a special touch, for example strong raw milk cheese, goat's cheese and desserts with vanilla such as ice cream or pudding
The LASSE LAKRITS salt mill can be used to season a wide variety of dishes, such as: milk foam on cappuccino or cocoa, in salad dressings with balsamic vinegar, with meat and fish, and with dishes with fennel or caraway.
Lasse Licorice Syrup
- 15 ml still water
- 2 tsp LASSE LAKRITS pure powder
- 1 tsp LASSE LIQUEUR salt
- 2.5 sticks of LASSE LAKRITS pure licorice
- 90ml sugar syrup
Heat the crushed stalks and the pure powder in a saucepan with water over medium heat and stir until dissolved. Add the syrup, bring to a boil, and simmer for a few minutes. The syrup can now be cooled and served, or stored in a cool, sealable bottle.
Perfect for spicing up desserts such as vanilla ice cream or lemon sorbet
Lasse Lakrits Liqueur
An interesting alternative to enjoy neat or topped with sparkling wine and fruit!
- 6 sticks of LASSE LAKRITS pure licorice
- 350 g sugar
- 1 liter of water
- 250 ml alcohol (e.g. grain alcohol or vodka)
First, dissolve the sticks of genuine LASSE LAKRITS in water over medium heat, then add the sugar, stirring regularly. Once the licorice and sugar have completely dissolved, add the alcohol. Let the liquid cool, then pour into sealable bottles and store in a cool place. Tip: Strain through a strainer to remove any loose pieces.
Lasse Lakrits Salad
Salads are infinitely varied depending on the season and can be complemented with a wide variety of fruits and vegetables. A subtle hint of licorice in the dressing or on toasted bread goes perfectly with them.
Dressing: Squeeze the juice of half a lemon, mix with good olive oil, and a teaspoon of mustard. If desired, add 1 teaspoon of cottage cheese to soften the dressing. Then season with LASSE LAKRITS powder , salt, and pepper. Voila!
Crispy topping: Fry slices of white bread in olive oil, season generously with LASSE LAKRITS salt and pepper. Drain on kitchen paper before serving to allow the toasted bread pieces to crisp up.
Lasse Lakrits gravy
A deliciously spicy variation of the tried-and-tested roast accompaniment, great with dark meat!
- 1 stick of LASSE LAKRITS pure licorice
- 200ml beef stock
- 200ml cooking wine (red or white)
- Strength
- LASSE LAKRITS salt or pure salt
- pepper
After browning the meat in the pan, slowly heat the stock and wine and stir in the LAKRIT'S stick to dissolve it. Then thicken with cornstarch and season with salt and pepper to taste.
